About our Ministry
At Derech HaYashar (The Straight Way), we are committed to sharing the Good News of the Messiah with our community and beyond. We strive to teach the Word of God in its purity through the original language (Hebrew) and to help others grow in their faith and knowledge of the Torah. We believe that by teaching from the Torah and the Apostolic Writings, we can provide a balanced and well-rounded view of the Scriptures and its application to our lives.
Our mission is to provide a safe and welcoming space for spiritual growth, healing, and transformation through Messianic Teaching, Torah and Ministry. We welcome everyone to join us in our journey.
Ministry Founders
Come experience the powerful, life-changing ministry of Derech HaYashar! Founded in 2023 by Moreh Lance and Shani Hamel.

Lance became a follower of the Jewish Messiah in 1996. He has served in various roles in service to HaShem such as missions, teaching, praise teams, Chazzan (Cantor), Marriage Ministry, and Associate Pastor. Lance received ordination as a Moreh Torah from Yeshivat Shuvu and a certificate of ordination from Kidron Christian College and Seminary Ministerial Association. He has also earned a Bachelors of Messianic Jewish Studies from Kidron Christian College and Seminary –

Shani has made the verse "Love your neighbor as yourself" a personal part of her everyday service. Shani is passionate about the relationships that HaShem has placed in her path. Shani has been involved in ministry, serving HaShem for 25 years in several administrative roles such as: missions, outreach, Day Camp Administration, Children's Ministry, Audio/Video, Yeshiva Administrator at Yeshivat Shuvu, Administration at Beth Adonai Messianic Congregation in Atlanta, Ga., Office Manager at El Shaddai Ministries in Sumner, Wa.
